Sept 10 - 37
talked to people all day.  Had lunch with Dr Fisher and accomplished nothing toward clearing my desk.  In evening went to Athletic Club and then home.  After dinner visited with furness a while and then dictated until midnight.

Sept 11, 1937
In office and between interviews managed to clear my desk of all but strictly routine matters.  I had a chance to read most of Sperrys M.S. on coyote before Clara came for me at 300PM.  We went out to Belteville and saw developments there.  The work of clearing the lake has progressed nicely & also the road.  Area for spillway is cleaned out and excavation for gates completed.  Merely still doing fine.  Came home at 10.00PM

Sept 12, 1937
A lazy day.  The violet ray at the Club came particularly close to blistering me on Friday night and I'm still quite uncomfortable.  Sorted & peeled tomatoes & worked about the house a bit.  My Parker gun - a beautiful thing double 12 came last night.  It is the most extravagant thing I've ever owned and fits me like my own skin.

In office & an exceedingly busy day involving a million little things.  Nothing big happened but a lost of fussy work.  Spend some time pondering over the new State aid set up and after conference with Henderson & Dillon finally determine on Al.[[?]] Day to
