long western grind which I dread terribly.

Up & finished packing & too the office.
Meetings with the men all day.  Very busy up to train time at 5.00P.M.  All & I caught train & found Dr. Shillinger on train visited with him & also saw Kellogg of Bureau of Chemistry & Soils.

Nov 27, 1937
Saw Dan Jantzen, Barry Loebe, Oderkirk, Bob Sturgess & Tappan Gregory.  Made a little talk to bird banding group in Chicago Academy of Sciences and then dinner at University Club with Gregory [[Day?]] etc.  Took 9.45 train on Santa Fe for Albuquerque.

Sunday spent on train writing notes and articles, speeches and radio talks.

Nov 29, 1937
Arr Albuquerque 7.43 am. Hold meeting beginning 10.00am in Don's office. Barker, Turner, Gaines, Gambril present in addition to our own people. Tucher absent. Discussed the state aid stuff with all of them all day. Little objection to policies but lots of detailed questions. Spent some time with [[regulators?]]. Arizona & New Mexico expressed opinion that bag level still too high. Want to be zoned. Okla wants month of November for season. Otherwise no changes requested. Barker objected to the personel statement in general policies
