Nov 29, 1937 cont. Don had a Mexican dinner for 22 people including all the Biological Survey personnel at [[?]] Mexican Restaurant & it was a dandy. Best food & best job I've ever seen. Nov 30, 1937 Conferences with Don, Bill Krunweis, Barkley, Hugh Woodward, and Elliott Bashes of New Mexico Game Commission. In afternoon with Ray Gambut of Ariz. young Jack Yelton of enforcement staff. Had lunch at Harold Crowleys and at Kiwanas in evening. Dec 1, 1937 Left at 800 AM for L.A. Corrected radio talks and speech for Wild Life Federation. Wrote steadily all day and was tired by night. Dec 2, 1937 Arr. L.A. at 800 AM met at station by Jim Savage and his deputy. Go to hotel& get radio talk ready. To K.F.I. for talk and give it. then to Savage's office and to California Club where I met Mr. Lord, Bill Pemberton and others. Talked for 40 minutes and think I made some friends. Back to hotel& called Segall's place. Out for dinner with Lyle, Laura, & Mildred. Back to hotel at midnight. Tired out but talked to about 100 duck hunters and think I helped Savage some. December 3, 1937 Slept later & felt better. Up in morning and out to L.A. museum. Talked last night over phone with Henderson about budgets.
