arr N.Y. 8:00 AM & go out to Bernardsville where I saw Clara & Clara June for a short time.  Looked over Guys new house & then went to Baltimore arriving at Lord Baltimore hotel at 11:30 PM.

3rd North American Wild Life Conference opened and we had a good crowd well represented from most states.  I visited with many people heard little of Ore program.
Feb 15, 1938.  More of the same.  Our boys seem to be doing well.  Tired by night but kept up till late.  
[[strikethrough]] Feb 16, 1938 [[/strikethrough]] Had our conference with [[strikethrough]] In conference again [[/strikethrough]] National Legislation Committee and, also one attended by about 50 state men.  Also attended press banquet.

Big Day.  I talked on regulations & took a crack at some of opponents.  Seemed to get by John Huntley him not so hot. Quinn & Baker both backed us. Big banquet and [[Tydings?]]jumped me in his speech.

Meetings of Wild Life Federation and reelected Darling & all officers.  Strong support for [[?]] in all meetings.  Visited John Redingtons picture display
