water facilities bill.  Worked all evening on papers & accumulated material.

June 30, 1938.
Last day of the fiscal year finds us in pretty good shape to go on for another year.  Days division is ready to go and we have $140,000 additional money in regular appropriations to go on.

July 1, 1938.
In office general office work.  Many small matters to occupy my attention & take my time.  Nothing of startling nature.

July 2, 1938
In office in morning.  Home in afternoon to mow lawn & take care of place generally.

July 3, 1938
At home.  Carl & wife out for dinner & to spend the afternoon.  Clara June & Peggy left for Charlotteville on evening train.

July 4, 1938
Left home 8.00AM. & went to Beltsville.  Had breakfast out there & then went to picnic grounds.  Dillons, Hays, Diffenbacks, Shillingers, Shoemakers & Rutherfords showed up during the day & we spent the time going over the projects & looking at progress on the lab & Swinden Hall.  Dam is also moving along.
Home about 8.00PM tired & hot.

July 5, 1938.
In office all day.  Lots of excitement over chance to get W.P.A. money.  Worked like hell on it after meeting with Bleasdell[[?]]
