Dec 14, 1938.
General work in office until eleven.
Conference in Eisenhowers office  on regional matters & catch 1.00PM train for N.Y.  See Clara June in the evening and then speak at the Boone & Crockett Club dinner.

Dec 15, 1938.
Breakfast with Fred Walcott and visit with him in morning.  Lunch with Dr Fisher & took 1.30 train back to Washington, arriving 5.45PM.

Dec 16, 1938
In office all day.  Conference with Hendrickson etc.

Dec 17, 1938.  Told Stan Young about the investigation and program.  The most difficult thing I ever faced.
Home in the afternoon & feeling pretty terrible.  Dr [[Netune?]] called & wanted me to go with [[him?]]
Carl & Marjory stopped in for the evening and I was certainly glad to see them.

Dec 18, 1938.
Left home 7.30AM and collected Dr [[Wetine?]].
Went to Beltsville & went over area looking for birds.
1.   Whistling Swan [[and?]] juvenile still about.  He looks thin but is able to fly alright.  Told Morley to try to feed him.
