A very cold dull day with dripping rain at times from S.E. Spent afternoon in upper Liffey Valley at Kilbride, Cloghleagh, Blessington &c.
Very likely ground along deserted course of R. Liffy near (below) Kilbride Church & also near Blessington. [[underlined]] Salix aurita [[/underlined]] in full bloom but no bees, caught one [[male symbol]] [[underline]] B. jonellus [[/underline]] seen at it.

Took one small Braconid in house & OMahony brought me 2 [[female symbol]]      , one from St Anne's & 1 from Kilbarrack (under chip & stones respectively).

On 8th May 1925 there emerged 2 [[2 female symbols]] of [[underlined]] Cryptus albatoruis [[/underlined]] Tschek from cocoons given me in autumn of 1924 by A.M. Gwynne, taken by him at foot of tree near St. Columbis College, Co. Dublin. From number of pupae of [[underlined]] Agrotis exclamationis [[/underlined]] taken in same place, he believed the [[underlined]] Cryptus [[/underlined]] had been parasite's on [[underlined]] agrotis [[/underlined]].
