To Baltinglass & home via Castledormot & near.

2. Railway &c. near Slaney Park, 3 miles S. of Baltinglass Co. WI.
3. Kildare side of gorge below Poulaphouca fall. Co. KD.
[[underlined]] Bombus lucorum [[/underlined]] & [[underlined]] terrestris [[/underlined]] at 2.

8 & 9/4/26. Hill of Uisnagh & Lunestown district, Co. WH.
On both days there were some good sunny speels but no bees ever seen, except [[underlined]] Bombus lucorum [[/underlined]] & [[underlined]] agrorum [[/underlined]] (the former common & the latter v. rare. There are some nice willows on the bog S. of Lunestown but otherwise the district is not attractive.

9/4/26 1 pm. till 4 pm. Clonfinlough & Clonmacnoise, Co. KC.
Almost continuous very hot sun, but cold breeze from W.
Spent an hour at Clonginlough along sheltered hedges with Gorse, Blackthorn & Dandelion in bloom, but saw only [[underlined]] Apis mellifica, B. lucorum [[/underlined]] & [[underlined]] agrorum [[/underlined]]. 
Later on "Arkens" at Clonmacnoise I took:
[[underlined]] B. lucorum, B. jonellus, B. agrorum [[/underlined]] (the two latter at Dandelion & the former mainly at willows) & 
[[underlined]] Andrena albicans [[/underlined]] 1 [[female symbol]] fresh at Dandelion on [[erken?]] S. of Abbeys. [[checkmark]] [[underlined]] SWALLOW. [[/underlined]] near Moate
[[insertion]] Also a [[female symbol]] Ichenumon on dandelion with broad tarsi! near [[/insertion]]
NB. This district should repay working during June or July : also most beautiful!

10/4/26. Found that on 8th A.A. Lisney had brought into the museum a [[female symbol]] Sawfly Amauronematus histrio!, emerged from a dark brown cocoon [[insertion]] ^ whose larva was [[/insertion]] taken in boring in [[underlined]] Salix caprea [[/underlined]] in Gold Mines Valley [[insertion]] Co. WI. [[/underlined]] on 7/3/26.
Also a [[female symbol]], small, [[underlined]] Andrena spicata [[/underlined]], RCLP. taken at Killadreenan near Dunran on Salix imerca on [[strikethrough]] a [[/strikethrough]] 5.4.1926! [[checkmark]]
