21st April 1927. Another hot sunny day, with strong wind.
Morning : went to Glendalough but wind too strong for sawflies & only [[insertion]] ^ 
[[underlined]] Andrena albicans [[/underlined]] [[2 male symbols]] [[strikethrough]] & [[underlined]] Nomada bifida [[/underlined]] [[2 male symbols]] [[/strikethrough]] [[/insertion]] [[underlined]] Bombus lucorum, B. jonellus [[/underlined]] & [[underlined]] Vespa norvegica [[/underlined]] [[2 female symbols]] seen (all at Salix).
Midday : worked left bank of Aronmore 2 miles above Clara (at footbridge.) Saw one [[female symbol]] [[underlined]] Dolerus madidus [[/underlined]] in rush swamp W. of footbridge, [[underline]] Andrena albicans [[/underline]] [[insertion]] ^ & [[underlined]] Nomada bifeda [[/underlined]]  [[/insertion]] [[2 male symbols]], [[underlined]] Vespa vularius [[/underlined]] [[female symbol]] & striped Dipturon & two flat beetles at sheep dung.  
Afternoon : left bank below Clara bridge to sand flat.
[[underlined]] Bombus lucorum, jonallus & 
agrorum [[/underlined]] [[2 female symbols]]. [[underline]] Andrena albicans [[/underlined]] [[2 male symbols]] at Salix &c, [[underlined]] A. lapponica [[/underlined]] 1 [[male symbol]] & 1 [[female symbol]], very fresh at Vaccinium in wood. [[underlined]] Halictus [[/underlined]] rubicundus [[2 female symbols]] in hundreds at sand flat. [[underlined]] H. calceatus [[/underlined]] [[2 female symbols]]. [[underlined]] Sphecodes divisus [[/underlined]] [[2 female symbols]]
