7 Dec. 1927. Saml. Freeland of Belfast Museum reports seeing [[underlined]] Bombus lucorum [[/underlined]] ( I suppose a [[female symbol]]) on the wing in Lisburn Road, Belfast, on this date!

Taken by Canon Foster in 1927.
[[underlined]] Colletes daviesanus [[/underlined]]. A very worn [[female symbol]] taken at Killard Point, DO, on 24.8.27. As I could not make this fit [[underlined]] C. montanus [[/underlined], I sent it to R.C.L.P. who replied at length (see letter dated 18.1.28) that it must be [[underlined]] daviesanus [[/underlined]], which if correct - I await further material - reinstates, this species on the Irish list. A.W.S. Later: see p. 125 [[underlined]] ante [[/underlined]], Clone, WX, where I had taken [[underlined]] Colletes daviesanus [[/underlined]] but mixed them with [[underlined]] C. montanus until spotted by RCLP.
