8th April continued. 
Very good ground at Ileclash, 1 1/2 mile below Fermoy, EC. & at Moor Park (along cliffs on left bank of Funshion River. [[underlined]] Lathraea squamaria [[/underlined]] abundant at Ileclash, on laurel [[insertion]] [[underlined]] Orobanche hederae [[/underlined]] on summit of Miss Bourke's Castle. Ileclash [[/insertion]] &c along cliffs. 
[[underlined]] 9th April 1928. [[/underlined]] Went to Cappagh in forenoon & then drove to Arklow, dropping Tratman at Enniscorthy! Saw an abundance of [[underlined]] Ranunculus auricomus [[/underlined]] in flowers at Stack's Hazel Copse near Ballinamintra, WA., and when leaving Cappagh in motor saw flock of 4 or 5 Swallows along road to Dungarvan! Rain from S.E. all day.

[[underlined]] 10th April 1928. [[/underlined]] Rain in morning from S.E. & strong wind: some sun along coast in aft.
Went to Webb's Glen, Ferrybank in aft. but saw nothing but 1 [[female symbol]] [[underlined]] Bombus hortorum [[/underlined]] at Primrose & several other [[underlined]] Bombi [[/underlined]] heard of which one was probably [[underlined]] lucorum [[/underlined]] & 1 [[underlined]] jonellus [[/underlined]].

Plenty of Willow Wrens about!

11th April 1928. [[insertion]] Took Trichioson cocoon on a small birch twig above Meeting of the Waters in afternoon! From which a [[male symbol]] emerged on 25/4/28! [[/insertion]] 
A fine day with hot sun, but clouds. Foot of Gold Mines & Monaglough Valleys, WI.

[[underlined]] Andrena praecox [[/underlined]] [[2 male symbols]] & fresh [[2 female symbols]] at willows; & sunning

12th April 1928. Dull & rainy till 3 pm; then sunny. Saw [[underlined]] Bombus agrorum [[/underlined]] in garden at Merton, Arklow & M.D.S. saw Swallows at 10 AM: I also saw one at 1 pm. Spent afternoon in sandhill with "guides" showing them plants. Also saw [[female symbol]] [[underlined]] Bombus terrestris [[/underlined]] near Inch, Co. WX. in morning before rain.

14th April 1928. Overcast all day & gale from NE
Returned to Dublin
15th April 1928. Very cold, NE wind (half gale) some sun. Drove to Arklow & back but saw nothing!
