29th June '28. A dull morning, with sun & heavy showers after 3 pm.
Took the Palmer's to Arklow.  Called a Magheraly Co. WI. between 11.30 & 12.30 Noon but cold & dull.
[[underlined]] Selandria [[/underlined]] (? [[underlined]] temporalis [[/underlined]]) seen on bracken at foot of lane
[[underlined]] Tenthredo arcuata [[/underlined]] also seen.
4 spp. of icks & 1 chalcid taken at same place.

[[underlined]] Bombus agrorum [[/underlined]] 1 [[female symbol]] seen. [[underlined]] B. muscorum [[/underlined]] 1 conatore [[female symbol]] seen.

Spent afternoon on  dunes at Kynock's, Arklow.

Protichneumon flavipectus [[male symbol]] taken amongst [[tent?]].

1st July 1928. A wild, stormy, day with almost continuous rain & never any sun.
Down to Slone, Co ME. & walked up Boyne valley to [[Beaupore?]]. Very nice ground along river for sawflies & at [[Beaupose?]] for other things if weather was fine.
Workers of [[underlined]] B. lucorum, B. agrorum [[/underlined]] & a Vespa seen on Snowberry bushes at [[Beaupore?]].
