16th Sept. 1928. A dull day! Rain at night!  Drove C.O. to Wooden bridge, WI, to look for young [[underlined]] Maryintana [[/underlined]] in Aughrim River.
Took [[underlined]] Dyspetes praerogator [[/underlined]] 3 [[2 male symbols]] on one head of Angelica & saw 1 [[female symbol]] [[underlined]] Lissonota bellator [[/underlined]] on another in morning.

18th Sept. 1928 (Afternoon). A fine sunny day, with cool breeze.  Deerpark, Powerscourt, WI. 3 till 5 pm.
[[underlined]] Bombus agrorum [[/underlined]] several seen, probably [[2 male symbols]]
[[underlined]] Psithyrus campestris [[/underlined]] 1 dark [[male symbol]] seen.
No other Bumbles met with.
[[underlined]] Vespa vulgaris [[/underlined]] nests still very active!
[[underlined]] Halictus [[/underlined]] [[2 male symbols]] of [[underlined]] Rubicundus, calceatus [[/underlined]] &c. seen.
[[underlined]] Mellinus arvensis [[/underlined]] [[2 male symbols]] & [[2 female symbols]] seen.
[[underlined]] Stenichneumon culpator [[/underlined]] 2 [[2 female symbols]] flying about large logs! seen taking short flights like Diptera!
[[underlined]] Lissonota variabilis [[/underlined]]? 1 [[female symbol]] on stump
[[underlined]] Pimpla rufata [[/underlined]]? 3 small [[2 female symbols]]

2 small hymenoptera taken in motor on return home.
