Walked up east side of Glenasmole & along upper Dodder to 1,200 ft; then across moor to E. at head of Glencree, where crossed military road S.E. of WI. boundary & followed stream to W. shoulder of Glendhee Mt. & on to Pine Forest & home. Re-discovered [[underlined]] Hymenophyllum unilaterale [[/underlined]] covering N. face of a large granite boulder on left back of Upper Dooder at about 1,000 ft. alt. : not seen for many years in Co. Dublin. F.T. Riley found beetle on another boulder near same place, which proved to be 3rd Irish record for [[underlined]] Lestiva fontinalis [[/underlined]] ([[underlined]] fide [[/underlined]] O'Mahony!) [[line across page]] D. Connor brought me a living [[female symbol]] [[underlined]] Amblytales armatorius [[/underlined]] [[female symbol]] taken in house at Clontarf, DU., on 17.11.28! Walked from Laytown to Balbriggan, ME & DU. Saw [[female symbol]] Vespa flying N. along cliffs at Gormanston, ME., at 12.30 PM. Collected "Bristle-tails" for Womersley & [[Colemboda?]]. Found freshwater deposit just S. of Ben Head, ME, above the raised beach gravels - it contained [[underlined]] Pis. casertanum [[/underlined]] common & very large, thin; [[underlined]] Succinea pfeiffori [[/underlined]] cf. form [[underlined]] schumacheri [[/underlined]]; [[underlined]] L. truncatula [[/underlined]] & a few land shells ? spp. - & was overlain by a terrestrial deposit containing many [[underlined]] H. acula [[/underlined]] & [[underlined]] hispida [[/underlined]] &c.
