No. 40. [[underlined]] Schigopoga podagrica [[/underlined]] var. or [[insertion]] [[underlined]] S. [[/insertion]] atra [[/underlined]]?

I suppose it must be called [[underlined]] atra [[/underlined]] var., but there seem to be only colour differences between both, so they probably are races of [[underlined]] one [[/underlined]] species. I have the same form from the Stockholm cnr. AR.
No. 41. [[underlined]] Phthorimus compressus [[/underlined]] Deave. [[female symbol]].
"I have taken a [[female symbol]] at Upsala & possess 1 or 2 more Swedish specimens. The [[male symbol]] must be rather difficult to recognise, having of course a short & depressed abdomen." AR.
