[[underlined]] Specimens of genus Glypta [[/underlined]] from A.W.S. Nat. Mus., Dublin.
1 & 2. [[male symbol]] & [[female symbol]]. Run to [[underlined]] rostrata [[/underlined]] Holmgr. but in [[female symbol]] "die hintorsten Schienen-spitzen und Tarsen" are not "schwarz"! I presume this is your "hornless var." of [[underlined]] bicornis [[/underlined]] which Johnson has recorded? Is this var. really the [[underlined]] rostrata [[/underlined]] of Holmgr.?
Glypta bicornis rostrata Hgn [[male symbol]] [[female symbol]]. I have only seen a few specimens & only taken 1 myself.
3 & 4. [[male symbol]] & [[female symbol]]. Run to [[underlined]] ceratites [[/underlined]] Grav., but "hintersten Sporen" do not seem to me to be "fast länger als des halbe metatarsus". Very common.
Glypta ceratites Gr. [[male symbol]] [[female symbol]].

5 & 6. [[male symbol]] & [[female symbol]]. Run to [[underlined]] elongata [[/underlined]] Holmgr. Very common.
Glypta elongata Hgn [[male symbol]] [[female symbol]] dark var. Wanted, A. Rm. [[checkmark]]
7. 1 [[female symbol]]. Runs to [[underlined]] monoceros [[/underlined]] Grav. I have one other [[female symbol]].
Glypta ?monoceros Gr. [[male symbol]] dark var.
8. [[vertically, left margin]] Certainly [[underlined]] not [[/underlined]] genalis Möll. [[/vertically, left margin]] 1 [[female symbol]] Runs to [[underlines]] genalis [[/underlined]] Möller, but metathorax is not, in my opinion "vollständig gefeldert mit kräftigen Leistor".
Is it possibly only a black "[[underlined]] rostrata [[/underlined]]? It comes from the same locality as the [[female symbol]] [[underlined]] "rostrata" [[/underlined]] above (No. 2) & is the only specimen I have seen.
[[vertical line, left margin]] What is the "Wangen leiste"? And when is it "gebrochen"? I dont know what to look for!
Wauge = cheek. The "Waugeuleiste" is the posterior margin of the cheek; it is called "broken" when it has a|narrow emargination. Seems to be a black var. of G. bicornis rostrata Hgn. [[image: section of insect]] [[label]] Waugeuleiste [[/label]]
