32Jun 27 1895This forenoon the declination circle of the 11 inch telescope was turned through 1°. The telescope being on the East side of the pier and set and clamped at 80.0° the three clamps which fasten the circle to the declination axis were loosened, and the circle turned through 1° so as to read 79.0° and then was clamped to the axis in this position.
