B. S. 17093 - Pectoral and pelvic powder down patches and uropygial gland of young [[underlined]] Ardea h. treganzai [[/underlined]] about 2/3 grown. Gland as yet non-functional. Feathers are oiled by greasy powder from powder downs. Mouth of Bear River, Utah.
