about 15 or twenty miles is a ridge of low banks about 60 feet height composed of eruptive rocks of red, pink and brown colors.
(1) dark reddish soft & disintegrated without perceptible layers. (2) a pink [[hand symbol]] rock, amygaloid with small cavities filled or lined with small crystals of same mineral. (3) and a [[strikethrough]] brown [[/strikethrough]] rock in layers, but eruptive, with occasional cavities some empty and some filled with spathic & other minerals. 
This last where weathered is brown but internally blue. This last is nearby horizontal and the amygdaloid is erupted through, over in crevices, and beneath the no (3)
Soon after about 10 miles come to a [[strikethrough]] Lofkas [[/strikethrough]] barrabora, once called by the Russians, Kwichtana barrabora (or Cold house) with two graves near it.  It is nearly opposite Ivan's barrabora on the Ulukuk parrenose and the Indians come over in the winter & kill deer on the Youkon.  Pass this place about 7 oclock & raise the sail for a barely favorable wind.
