morrow. I shall have to leave part of my goods here & send back or them. This faintly describes a day which as a specimen of one worry after another can hardly be matched. 3 times moving
2000 lbs, a great part of the work with my own hands & all the worry on my shoulders,
having to oversee the most insignificant things in order to have them rightly done & to cook for myself to get clean grub. It is a grand school for patience.

Early the Indians tell me there is a good wind & I get up & pick out the goods I need to leave
About 4 AM have tea, get every thing packed & ready & start about 6. Have a fair wind but not very strong. The Indians hug the shore greatly to my dissatisfaction - as we could go faster & straighter a little.
