black bread, and tea. Get Sallowilno to work on a parki. Do nothing in honor of the day. Tomorrow I shall start in to weigh out our sugar tea & flour, as it is evident if we don't retrench, we shall be out of these invaluable articles before spring. If it actually comes very close to the wind I am off to the Ulukuk parrenose after deer. But it hasn't come to that yet.

Morning. Feed the dogs. Mend a cup. Johnny brings in a rabbit from his snares. Weigh out sugar, tea & bread. Kurill & I, 1 lb bread per day, 3 lbs sugar for January, Johnny, 1 lb bread, 1 1/2 sugar, Peetka 1 lb bread 1/2 lb sugar and 1 lb tea for all hands for the month of January. If we keep this up we shall do very well & hold out. I shall have my sugar to take on the road rather than use in the house. Lots of fish in trap
