Sunday, Mar. 22. 1868
Beat lead all day into bars to make shot.  Kurill & Johnnie bring wood.  Make dumplings for dinner.  Evening Kurill goes out to his barrabora to try & shoot a black fox which has been prowling around here for a week or two.

Monday Mar 23
The Russians take my dogs to bring wood.  Beat lead & cut it into bars & hammer the bars into rods to draw into wire to make shot.  Draw about 20 lbs & heat up 30 or 40 lbs more.  Kurill & all working at it.  Break my bone for drawing the lead & get Paspilkoff to make another.

Tuesday Mar 24
Rukovitska & brother, Ivan & Corabati come with three sled loads of rabbits.  Buy about 20 of them.  Cut up all the lead I have drawn & get it ready for rolling.  17 fish in trap.  Ivan did not bring my gun but left
