The Constantine leaves early in the morning.  The Shelikoff abt noon.  Work over boxes &c all the morning.  Look at Bergham who is doing very well put on clean bandages.  Write in the evening.  Pack my trunk in the P.M.  A sailor deserted from the Constantine & took a boat ashore & stove it.

[[line]] Thursday July 30 [[line]]
Packing boxes all the morning.  Get draft & receipt from Bean.  Get my boxes out of the store & label them.  See to Bergham who is much better today.  
Get some sugar & bread of [[Andol?]].  The Shelikoff is at anchor not a great way out with both topsails set & main & foresail clewed up.  I think all hands are drunk and unable to work the ship or take in the sails.  Buy some [[wauchne?]].  Chabounin is getting ready to leave for Unalakleet.

Feel a little unwell again.  Get some mink skins dressed.  Get a new bird & skin three birds.  Get two [[Piecnies?]] from Ivan.  The Russians at work on their bidarra which is nearly done.  Finish my mast today.  Kurill starts for Koyoukuk at night just before Peetka arrives.  P. says there is a good deal of water and many geese & ducks.

Get all the bird skins labelled &c and begin to pack one large box to go down the river.  Clear out under the beds & get everything into a little better shape.  Kurill comes back, the water being too high for him to reach Koyoukuk.  Temoshka leaves for Fakaiksky.  Put my bidarra in the water.  The Russian one is done but the lovtak is very bad.  Buy a small birch canoe, for an axe.  There are no geese and the Russians are living on bread & tea
