Pack a box of fossils in the morning. Go up to see Stepanoff and stay to dinner. After that we go into the store and I get a lot more goods on a/c for Bean from him. The boat is finished and loaded today but the last very badly. She will not take all the stuff as there will not be room for the baggage; but plenty for the other goods. Stepanoff is very mad with Luisneffsky, who proposed to him to take all the Companys furs aboard the schooner and run away with them. He has forbidden him the fort enclosure. Popoff brings the news that Ennis is at the mouth of the Konskoquim, with Adams & Lukeen is with them. They have no right to come there as they did not clear from Sitka. Stepanoff is bled in the afternoon & I cannot settle up with him today.
