Get my other box pasted, and the lovtak partly served - will tar it tomorrow.  Pay Bean 6.00 & get a comb & 3 pipes.  Get out my furs which are all very damp.  Dry them and get some Indians to fix some which are mouldy.  Buy a lot of contogs and dippers.  Bean trading well all day.  Russians very drunk.  Count up 115 martens and about 70 mink.  Try to buy a good otter but can't make a trade.  Send the Indians with Kurill up the crooked canal to hunt for eider ducks.  Go down to the village to a dance in the P.M.  The Russians have been fighting all day

Sunday June 14, 1868
Get some birds and a lot of eggs.  Pass Rasbiniks gila;  buy a haunch of venison & usable.  Chi peet in a marsh where I get some cowslips and beetles & mosses.  Skin 7 birds in the bidarra.  Reach [[?Starry Kivithpak]] village at night.  Find the Andreaffsky, rabbotnik Yaska there.  With his help I get a boy & canoe who will pilot us to the Kusillivak mouth.  Buy an otter skin and two or three good beaver.  Push on a little way and camp.  Get the eggs of the white gull.

Monday June 15.
Start rather late & put into a narrow but very long slough, whence we finally emerge about half past one Chi peet then.  Kill 3 geese and an Arctic hare, also some small birds.  Meet a very strong head wind with waves, on the river and put into Andreaffsky to rest.  Boil the chynik and go over the deserted fort.  Push on a little further and camp at Egg River.  Mount Ingechuk looms up finely in the S.E.  Night calm.
