two species stick together long.

6:50 am. 7900 ft. Came across huge mixed flock, including all sorts of things; e.g. at least, 1 Yellow faced Redstart, at least 2 [[underline]] nigrocristatus[[/underline]], at least 1 BCBT (no white visible around eye in brief glimpse I had), at least two of the local [[underline]] Ocetheia [[?]] flycatchers (possibly same as in Merida, dark rich chestnut underneath), [[underline]] lots [[/underline]] of furnariids and hummingbirds. Flock scattered all levels from 40 ft above ground in trees to ground itself. Flycatchers & redstart on outskirts group, fly catching. Couldn't tell who was leading.

(After looking at skins in the University [[?]] collection this afternoon, I am sure that this flock also included 2 [[underline]] Cnemoscopus rubrirostrum. [[/underline]] It may also have included 1 or more [[underline]] Hemispingus atropileus.) [[/underline]]

Somewhat later in the morning, at slightly higher elevations, I saw a couple of loose associations between Firebellies and BCBT's. Probably accompanied by other species as well 1 BCBT f [[arrow]] Firebelly.

10:20 am. Another place. 7950 ft elevation. See mixed flock of 2 BCBT's, 1 Yellow-faced Redstart, 2 [[underline]] B. nigrocristatus, [[/underline]] and probably others. In moderately low shrubbery on edge of cliff. BCBT's in lead. 1 [[underline]] B. nigrocristatus [[/underline]] f [[arrow]] Redstart flycatching around BCBT's.
