Unfortunately without being able to identify species In the 3 days here, I have once seen a single Slate-throat and once a pair. Not associated with other species. [[right justified]] November 1, 1962 Santa Elena Central Andes [[/right justified]] [[centered, in red]] Nr. Medellin [[/centered]] 6:00am 8000ft. Edge of light forest. See mixed flock including [[underlined]] T. nanori [[/underlined]], others, feeding in trees about 20 ft. above ground. One of the others certainly BCBT. Flock breaks up fairly soon. Blue and black's are the leaders (if any). 6:15. Slightly higher. In light forest. See pair of BYB [[underlined]]Compsocomas[[/underlined]] and at least 1 [[underlined]] cyanocephala [[/underlined]] feeding in top same small tree. Almost certainly others in same flock. [[underlined]] Cyanocephala [[/underlined]] flew off. BYB(s) do [[underlined]] not [/underlined]] follow. BYB(s) certainly [[underlined]] not [[/underlined]] leaders of this flock. 6:40 am. Another area. 8250 ft. Come across an enormous flock. Including, among others, at least three "BCBT"s, 1 pair BYB's, at least 1 Blue and Black, 1 adult [[underlined]] T. heinei [[/underlined]], 1 Cy, 1 [[underlined]] Atlapetes rufinucha[[/underlined]], lots of N. American warblers, 1 pair furnariids. [[margin note in red to left of paragraph]] Cy [[/margin note]] 1 BYB J --> Blue and black. Otherwise flock rather diffuse and un-coordinated. The [[underlined]] A. rufinucha[[/underlined]] was in front (not necessarily in lead I suppose). Birds going in all directions. Flock as a whole not moving forward very much. Flock generally [[underlined]]very[[/underlined]] quiet. Moderate no. of "CN"s. Occasional brief bursts of song by 1 or more sp
