[[top right corner, circled]] 23 [[/top right corner]] joined by one pair adult Blue & Blacks, 1 [[underlined]] cyanocephala [[/underlined]] j -->. Then birds move on. Then: N. American warblers f -->; BCBT's f -->; more Blue & Blacks f -->; pair of [[underlined]] rufinucha [[/underlined]] f -->; more Blue & Blacks f -->; Cy f --> single [[underlined]] rufinucha [[/underlined]] f -->; 1 Blue and Black j -->Cy; [[ left margin note in red]] CY CY CY [[/left margin note in red]] Cy f --> Blue & Black. There may also have been a pair of furnariids following along to rear. When flock moves on, a pair of thrushes is left behind. I don't know if these are the same birds that were in front at first or not. The various Blue & Blacks in flock were [[underlined]] not [[/underlined]] grouped together. Apparently divided into 2 family groups; seldom or never together. All birds in flock apparently usually or always feeding on insects, except Cy which feeds on cup-shaped pink flowers. All birds in trees and bushes, 1 to 20 ft above ground. When flock is first seen it is moving up hill fairly steadily. Looking quite coherent. But only a couple of minutes after it passes on it (or part of it -- at least thrushes, Blue & Blacks, & Cy) [[left margin note, red]] Cy [[/left margin note, red]] is back, first going down hill, then just milling about. All birds [[underlined]] very [[/underlined]] silent, except for juvenile Blue & Black which utters "Seeet"s nearly constantly. Obviously begging. Actually, I think there are at least two juvenile Blue & Blacks around. Flock still here 8:30. This is [[underlined]] certainly [[underlined]] not the same as the large flock seen earlier. No trace of BYBs or [[underlined]] heinei [[/underlined]]. I shall call this by flock "II", and the earlier one "I". Moving on myself 8.32.
