Includes at least one [[underlined]]T. labradorides [[/underlined]], migrant warblers, others Fairly low, about 5-10 ft above ground. Then a little further on see one [[underlined]] arthus [[/underlined]], one (another?) [[underlined]]labradorides [[/underlined]], one furnariid, in trees about 20 feet above ground. Obviously part of same flock. No trace of BYB's.

BYB's are definitely keeping away from mixed flocks here.
There were no obvious leaders to this [[underlined]] arthus-labradorides [[/underlined]] flock. Flock seems very incoherent, as if all the associations were merely casual.

7:50 See what may be a single local BCBT in small tree in scrub along road. Silent. Possibly part of [[underlined]] arthus-labradorides [[/underlined]] flock. (Crown grayish, little or no white behind eye.)

Fog coming in now. Difficult to see birds. 8:00 am
[[underlined]] arthus-labradorides [[/underlined]] flock still around. Doesn't seem to be progressing in any particular direction. Birds flying back and forth trees both sides round. Includes at least 4 or 5 [[underlined]] arthus [[/underlined]]. Single (?) [[underlined]] labradorides [[/underlined]] still with flock. Also furnariid. Also at least one [[underlined]] T. xanthocephala [[/underlined]]. One Slate-throat nearby.

1 [[underlined]] labradorides [[/underlined]] j ---> [[underlined]] arthus [[/underlined]]
One fight between 2 [[underlined]] arthus[[/underlined]]

8:10. Flock apparently getting larger. Now includes lots more warblers (including one Black and White, one Piteayurii or Parsila. Also one [[underlined]] Yellow-throated Tanager [[/underlined]]! One pair of another Tangara species (XVIII).

Flock still in area where BYB's were. BYB's still absent.
[[underlined]] arthus [[/underlined]] certainly nuclear in sense that they are most common and conspicuous. But they don't seem to provide much leadership.
