Blue & Black. Possibly these birds are following the Firebellies at a [[margin, in green]] 24 [[/margin]] distance. Right behind them, is something [[1 green check mark]] (unidentified) [[circled, in purple]] 4 [[/circled]] moving thru low scrub. This whole [[thing?]] presumably a real mixed flock. Very diffuse. But moving steadily and rapidly in one direction.
[[margin, in green]] 25 [[/margin]] 6:46. [[underline]] Another [[/underline]] [[1 green check mark]] Yellow-belly [[/check marked] flies by. Alone. But going in same direction as other birds.
Do all the birds here just start moving, independently, along usual paths early in morning? And then "clump" together whenever they encounter one another?
[[margin, in red]] 14 [[/margin]] 6:58. See single [[red check marked]] Yellow-belly [[/check marked]]. Definitely alone. Probably one of the same individuals seen earlier. Feeding on small green fruits in large tree. 20 ft up. This tree seems to be same species which occurs over much of [[margin, in red]] Coer [[/margin]] Andes. If so, I have also seen Coers eat the fruit. Yellow belly utters lots of "Seeet" Notes. Then flies off.
See single Sooty Thrush alone. Bright eye ring. Feeding on fruit. Scrub. 6 ft up. Silent. 7:06 am.
Going down to where mixed flocks seen yesterday 7:18 am.
[[margin, in red]] 15 [[/margin]] See single [[red check marked]] Yellow belly [[/check marked]] alone. (This species is very reminiscent of the Firebelly in most notes and all actions.)
[[margin, in red]] 16 [[/margin]] See a single [[red check marked]] White-bearded [[/check marked]] Flycatcher alone. And a single Oectheca alone. See a single Sooty Thrush (dark eye ring) apparently alone. Joined by another. (These may be [[female symbol]] and juv. seen yesterday.
[[margin, in red]] Scan [[/margin]] Hear Scans around 7:30 am.
See another Sooty Thrush alone. Joined by another (dark eye ring). In trees 30 ft up.
7:37 am. One GT [[double red check marked]] flies [[/double check marked]] in and joins another high in tree. Utters [[margin, in red]] 18 [[/margin]]loud series metallic notes in flight "Tā-ah tā-ah tā-ah tā-ah......".
