[[margin, in red]] 3 [[/margin]] fted. See single GT [[insertion]] [[red check mark]] [[/insertion]] [[underline]] alone [[/underline]]. Flying from tree-top to tree-top edge of clearing. 40-50 ft. up. Silent.
4:22 See single Blue Toucanet alone. Perched exposed 40 ft up dead tree. Different species from Purace' area. All black bill. White throat. There are [[underline]] lots [[/underline]] of small birds flying thru tree tops from time to time. None of which I can identify! Presumably [[underline]] Tabgaras [[/underline]] and flycatchers
See a single Sooty Thrush alone in tree, 30 ft up.
Some of these small birds in the tree tops probably [[underline]] are [[/underline]] members of (a)
[[left margin - red]] II N [[/left margin]] diffuse [[insertion]] 13 [[/insertion]] flock(s). See 2 [[2 checkmarks]] [[underline]] xanthocephala [[/underline]], 1 [[checkmark]] Sooty Thrush, 1 [[checkmark]] tiny flycatcher or vireo, 1
[[left margin]] 14 [[/left margin]] [[checkmark]] larger flycatcher (like all gray Peewee) only 10-15 ft apart single tree. [[underline]] xanothocephala [[/underline]] supplants [[image - arrow pointing right]] small flycatcher or vireo. Then the [[underline]] xanthocephalas [[/underline]] move on. The other birds do not follow immediately.
4:40 See what is probably same pair [[underline]] xanthocephalas [[/underline]] in another tree. 30 ft up. No apparently [[2 red checkmarks]] alone. Looking for insects on branches. A few minutes [[left margin - red]] 6 [[/left margin]] later, in nearby tree, see single [[underline]] cyanocephala [[/underline]] [[checkmark]] I can't tell if it was attracted to the [[underline]] xanthocephala [[/underline]] or not.
4:49 See single Ruddy Flycatcher 20 ft up, scrub edge forest. Then a single [[underline]] cyanocephala [[/underline]] flies out of nearby bush into tall tree.
I still think that this is probably [[underline]] all [[/underline]] part of a very diffuse mixed flock. But the presumed members of the flock often are hundreds of feet (or yards) apart !!!
Fog coming in again 5:00 pm.
5:15 Another area edge Korea station clearing. Patch of second growth, [[left margin]] III N 16 [[/left margin]] not covered by trees. See 2 [[2 green checkmarks]] slate-throated Mututaerts (definite) in scrub, 5 - 15 ft up, uttering "Jut" notes. They move on to adjacent tree. A [[left margin]] 18 [[/left margin]] second later, [[2 green checkmarks]] 2 [[underline]] cyanocephala [[/underline]] appear in same scrub where Slate-throated ha
