Reach 10,225 ft 4:05 pm. This is not far below edge of Paramo; but forest still looks "upper sub-tropical".

[margin]Black[/margin]Flush what looks like Black Diglona from area very [thick]low record growth edge pasture. Utters "Treet" notes. But unfortunately, I can't identify it. 
See single Sooty Thrush alone. 20 ft up in dead tree in [widet?] low thicket. 
See single Amaurorpeza-like finch alone in low dense second-growth scrub. 
Single Sooty Thrush flies by. Silent & alone. Starting back down hill 4:25 pm. 
10,075 ft 4:35 pm. See single white beard. 20 ft up tree. Apparently alone. A little further down, see single Sooty Thrush alone edge rock slide. In sort of bamboo scrub. Flies into nearby trees. 4:50 pm Just below 10,000 ft. Approximate area where Buttraupes seen earlier. See large flock. [margin]Setti[/margin] Includes at least 2 Yellow-faced [Mututarts], i [Sette], 1 White beard, 2 White-stripes, 1 [Hatropleus], 2 adult and 1 juv. Blue & Black, 1 [Cureroscopus], a variety of [furmariids] and [dendrocolapteds]. Group moving thru second growth trees, also low open scrub, in area ungrounded by mature forest. ADDITION: There is at least 1 PL [attapetes] with group. The 2 [Hemispuigus] species stay low in scrub, 2
