  Then, a few seconds later, and only a few yards down path, get very bad view of [[underline]] very [[/underline]] large mixed flock high in tree-tops. Certainly includes Yellow-belly (ies), one or more [[checkmark]] [[underline]] Cnemoscopus,[[/underline]] one or more [[checkmark]] Yellow-face(s), a 
[[margin, in red]] WCC [[/margin]] [[male symbol]] WCC, tree-creepers, [[underline]] many [[/underline]] others. Group quite coherent, but I can't tell who is leading. I think that the Sooty Thrush, [[underline]] atropileus[[/underline]], and Yellow-face seen immediately before may have been "outliers" of this group. And the group as a whole may be a continuation of the large flock seen slightly higher up ca 3:45 pm. (described in my notes on mixed diglossini.)

  5:02 pm Right at edge forest and scrub. See pair [[2 checkmarks]] BYB's (!) 6 ft up in small tree. [[underline]] Definitely [[/underline]] alone. Fly off immediately

  Going along another path to the Páramo this afternoon.
  Reach edge pasture - scrub-forest, 9400 ft, 1:48 pm. Cloudy. Windy. Warm. Nothing stirring.
  2:00 pm. 9,550 ft  Region of sparse forest. Rather widely spaced mature-looking trees, with lots of shrubby undergrowth. Come across very loose group. Includes at least [[3 checkmarks]] 3 Yellow faces (all apparently adult), 2 [[2 checkmarks]] [[underline]] Cnemoscopus, [[/underline]] [[checkmark]] 1 Yellow belly, 1 [[underline]] Pipreola [[/underline]] (no. LXXXXIV - presumably [[underline]] arcuata [[/underline]] ), some tree creepers. All in tree-tops, 20 - 40 ft up. All quiet. Birds very far apart. And group as a whole moving in irreg
