There really are quite a lot of Atlapetes Whistle Songs in the neighborhood!  At least 4 individuals Singing.  Is this species breeding now???
6:05. Hear one more Yellowface Song in distance.  [[underlined]]Completely [[/underlined]] overlapped by Atlapetes Whistle Songs. See a number of Sooty [[Thrushes?]]flying around.  Alone.  Everything dead quiet 6:20 a m.  
6:22. See single Yellowface [[red check mark]].  Silent and alone.  3 ft up in sparse scrub on rock slide.
6:28. Some distance further along road.  See pair of [[underlined]][[rufinuichas?]][[/underlined]] [[2 red check marks]] [[margin, in red]]  14 [[/margin]]in record growth scrub on slide. 3 ft up.  Uttering "Greeting" Twitters and Trills.  Apparently alone.
6:35. More Yellowface Songs in distance. NODWA Going back along road, see single maroon-crested [].  Silent and alone. 6-8 feet up in sparse scrub on slide 7:01
Then see another single Sooty Thrush alone.
A little further up road, catch glimpse of what is almost certainly a [[underline]][[Firebelly?]][[/underline]]!  (Black wings, bright blue rump.) In second growth on old slide.  3 ft up. Silent. Apparently alone. Disappears immediately.
7:28 am 8750 ft. Region where slide vegetation starts to merge with "upper sub tropical" forest. See single [[underlined]][[rufinuichas?]][[/underlined]] [[1 red check mark]] 3 ft up in second [[margin, in red]] 16 [[/margin]]growth scrub. Uttering lots and lots of "Seeeeeee" Notes. There also is a [[underlined]][[Coutopres?]] [[/underlined]]-type flycatcher in same scrub.  But I can't tell if the two birds are reacting to one another or not.
This region is rather protected from wind.

8:20 8850 ft. See single Yellowbelly [[1 red check mark]], definitely alone, in tops
