have sometimes seen it. Everything quiet.
Going down road into foggy side.
2:52. See single Hummingbird X feeding on clusters yellow flowers in bush side road. 5-10 ft up. Silent. Alone.
3:05. Further down road, a singly Sooty Thrush flies by alone.
[[green pencil marking "128" in left margin]] Flies into scrub. There seems to be some sort of a mixed flock here. [[three green pencil checkmarks]] 3 or 4 of the dull brown Lynalloxis-type Turmariuds (same species seen on Munchique a couple of days ago). Moving very low thru second growth edge road. 3 inches - 2 feet up. Also, 1 Yellowface 10 ft up in nearby tree. Birds quiet. A single white-throated Hummingbird j ---> lynalloxes-types. Then flies off. Then Yellowface (and thrush) disappear; while Lynalloxis types continue on their way. (This area is 8150 ft). Then follow group of dull-brown lynallaxis-types down road; and find that they really are the tail-end of a large mixed flock. Among the other birds of the flock are 2 Yellowfaces, at least 1 [[Whitestripe?]], 2 Settes, 2 GT's, at least 1 Cuemoscopus, 1 juv. Thlypopsis (I don't know the species - all I could see was orange head, with dusty crown, and olive back), 1 Enifera, 1 Euriponax type flycatcher, and various tree-creepers. All moving in light fog thru very mixed, not too dense, obvious by rather young second-growth. The Synalloxis-types, the Thlypopsis, the Whitestripe, and the Settis always remain very low, 1 foot - 3 feet up. All apparently feeding on insects, on leaves and twigs. The Ensifera,Euriponax-type flycatcher, Yellowfaces, and Cueroscopus all seen 10-20 ft up. The creepers ca. 10 ft up. GT's ranged from high to low, 1 foot - 20 feet up. Group as a whole very coherent. But lead changes constantly GT in lead at least once. Eupidouax-type flycatcher in lead at least once. Setts in lead at least once. Rather [[surprising?]], group as a whole very quiet.
