I wonder why I haven't heard any BQ's singing yet (4:15)? Too much wind for them to perch securely on exposed limbs???

See a small green hummingbird feeding on Guavo flowers. Exact same tree where BQ´s fed yesterday.

Catch brief glimpse dark bird passing low thru very dense scrub.
Uttering lots high then plaintive  "Seeeet" Notes. Presumably Atlapetes. Either [[underlined]] torquatus [[/underlined]] or (less probably) [[underlined]] brunnei-nucha [[/underlined]]. Alone.

Rain 4:35 pm. Leaving.

COMMENT: Although my observations this afternoon were very poor and sparse, they would suggest that mixed flocks are at least rare, here, at this relatively low altitude. As in Merida.
