Then perches 20 ft up, top tree, utters "Song" of "cheek" Notes. So the supposed "Scans" I saw at the other area near Papayan a few days ago [[underline]] porbably were really Scans! [[/underline]]
4:01 See (another?) hessiei alone, 6 ft up small tree in hedge-like scrub.

Arrive same place as yesterday morning 5:20 a.m. Still quite dark. Sky half cloudy.
Lots of Sooty Thrushes alone as usual!

6:19 See single [[red check mark]] [[underline]] Pheacticus aureo=ventris [[/underline]] ("Black & Yellow Grosbeak") silent and alone. 6 ft up in bush, area low thick scrub.

6:32 Single Blue & Black (vassorii) flies by. Uttering "PN"s. 
Definitely alone. Lands in small tree, 6 ft up, border scrub and pasture

flock seen earlier. Group of [[underline]] 3 cyanocephalas [[/underline]] [[three red check marks]]
fly from tree-top to tree top in "hedge". 10 - 15 ft up. [[underline]] Definitely [[/underline]] alone.
Utter a couple of twitters as "Greeting" So there are at least 3, and almost certainly 4, individuals of
this species in this [[underline]] immediate [[/underline]] area.
Arrive first place where I worked at level of Popayan (scrub along small stream) 3:05 pm. Sunny and warm.
