 Morning take the large boat + go to Saranna [[?]] Bay, which find full of rocks scattered with a sand beach at the head.  Plac. mach. & Argoboregonensis [[?]] found on it--  Back by 3 P.M. pulling most of the way against the tide which rises toward the west. Get some obs. for azimuth after returning.  Weather thick in A.M. a little sun in P.M. wind variable light- Get vessel, ready for sea in case of a fair wind. 
 P.M.  Go ashore to the tyones house & have some native & other dances & a good time generally

  Work all day on board getting ready for sea as soon as the wind serves copying computing & packing specimens.  Weather thick fresh NW wind 
[[line]] Wednesday June 25 [[line]]
Morning filling water weather [[strikethrough]] thick [[/sgtrikethrough]] early half cloudy, later completely overcast.  Try some new azimuth observations which are interrupted by clouds.  P.M.  Go ashore to the old village & dig in the vicinity of the houses for relics but do not succeed in finding many.  P.M.  Frost off to supper.
