Day stormy with our old fashioned Southeaster--We had hoped to sail for the Shumagins today but the weather forbids-

Wind mod SE rainy & cloudy all day.  Work over sketches & [[triange]] ns-P.M. get 30 salmon at one haul.

Morning cloudy light Southerly airs tow out of the small  harbor & anchor in dead calm outside Sent letters ashore & get some from the priest.  About noon stand out of Captain's Bay on our way to the Shumagins--Wind very light so we make very little headway

 Day cloudy wind right & variable boxing the compass- Knock around all day in the neighborhood of Akutan  Early morning see a schooner in the offing steering S. perhaps the Sutton
