Sunday Sept. 28. 1873 
Cloudy with occasional rain squalls, high sea and half a gale from the Eastward- Stand to the Southward under reefs-lay to a part of day

Monday Sept. 29 
Laying to all day-Cloudy with occasional squalls & very low barometer.

Tuesday Sept. 30 
Light winds from S & E all day with occasional rain- work over [[triangle symbol]]ns of Kyska &c

Wednesday Oct. 1 
Wind light from S & E. rain at intervals.  Work over clerical work Unalashka in sight in P.M.

Thursday Oct. 2 
Wind light S westerly.  Cloudy. In early A.M. off Captains Bay. During the day gradually work through the Akutan Pass and stand to the Southward, wind light, changes to East and southerly.
