Day windy with rain & snow P.M. strong Westerly wind. Work over descriptions of stations. About 11 A.M. get a note from H. Shirpser stating that the Schr. Wm. Irelan. Holder Master has been totally wrecked at Delaroff Harbor during the gale of Oct 12. Wait for Capt. Herendeen & Davis to get back from the Unga shore and write to Shirpser that we will give them a passage down if they wish it & will come to us from the settlement. send the letter by the bidarka which brought it

Capt Holder comes up from Unga in a bidarka and stays to lunch starting back in P.M. but is obliged to return on account
