Day with light northerly wind weather cloudy. See a bark in early A.M. probably bound for Puget Sound. Play crib in P.M. & come out ahead.

Cloudy, light northerly wind see a bark about 4 A.M. Day about the same, cleaning ship painting &c. Wind freshens a little toward night.

Wind a little stronger. See today a great many trout flying to the South ward some of them lighted on the water Catch two albicore a kind of tunny which when cooked was very fine eating P.M. wind becomes a good strong breeze.

Wind fresh weather broken get some observations the first for several days. Made 215 miles this 24 hours.
