The Metolias Trail, an old trail, originally an Indian trail, connecting the Indian settlements on the Warm Springs Indian Reservation with the Minto Trail [[insertion]] ^ at a point [[/insertion]] near the west end of Marion Lake. It is now partly blazed, [[insertion]] ^ and is considerably used by sheepmen and others in addition to the Indians. [[/insertion]] The trail crosses the Cascade divide about five miles south of Mount Jefferson, at an elevation of about 6000 feet.
