in a different direction.

I suppose that some mixed flocks I see, throughout the Andes, may simply be cases of different birds following the same route at the same time.

7:30 am. There certainly appear to be some mixed flocks in tops of tall trees here; but I can't identify the birds.

Then see a single [[1 red, 1 pencil, 1 blue checkmark]] [[circled in blue]] 60 [[/circled]] [[male symbo]][[underlined]] Chlorophonia pyrrhophrys. [[/underlined]] Silent. Alone. In top bare tree, 35 ft above ground.

[[left margin in red]] 54 [[/left margin]]

Then see single [[1 red, 1 pencil checkmark]] [[circled in blue]] 61 [[/circled]] [[underlined]] cyanocephala [[/underlined]] perched way up on top of another, distant, dead tree. Alone.

Can hear quite a lot of [[underlined]] nigrocristatus [[/underlined]] rattling songs. 7:45 am. Also lots of what may be Cy songs in distance.

8:00 am. See a pair [[2 pencil, 2 red, 2 blue checkmarks]] [[circled in blue]] 63 [[/circled]] of [[underlined]] cyanocephala [[/underlined]] apparently alone.

Bright sunlight and everything very dull 8:15.

See another [[1 red, 1 pencil, 1 blue checkmark]] [[circled in blue]] 64 [[/circled]] [[underlined]] cyanocephala [[/underlined]] silent and alone. In [[underlined]] low scrub, [[/underlined]] 3 - 4 ft above ground, under trees ([[underlined]] ie. [[/underlined]] it "could" join low mixed flocks if it "wanted" to).

8:27. See [[2 red, 2 pencil, 2 blue checkmarks]] [[circled in blue]] 66 [[/circled]] pair ([[male & female symbols]])[[underlined]] Chlorophonia pyrrhophrys. [[/underlined]] In same tree as before. Definitely alone.

[[left margin in red]] 60 [[/left margin]]

See single [[1 red, 2 blue, 2 pencil checkmarks]] [[circled in blue]] 67 [[/circledl]] PL Atlapetes. Apparently alone. On stump in low scrub.

Also see single [[1 red 1 pencil, 1 blue checkmark]] [[circled i blue]] 68 [[/circled]] [[male symbol]] Albi, silent and alone.

Then see single [[2 blue, 2 pencil checkmarks]] [[circled in blue]] 69 [[/circled]] [[underlined]] nigrocristatus. [[/underlined]] Quiet and alone. 30 - 40 ft from the [[blue checkmark]] PL. The two birds apparently paying no attention to one another. Then, appr. 2 minutes later, PL appears only 7 - 10 ft from the [[underlined]] nigrocristatus. [[/underlined]] Apparently a case of joining. (Definitely PL j [[right arrow]]) But very inconspicuous. Both birds quite silent PL feeding higher in scru
