CN's and probably "Seeeet" notes. Wren(s) singing loudly and furiously. Then I notice that the pair of [[underlined]] nigrocristatus [[/underlined]] is in scrub 20 ft from Wrens, 30 ft from WM's. Then I see 1 or 2 [[1 green 1 blue checkmark]] [[circled]] 5 [[/circled]] [[underlined]] cyanocephala [[/underlined]] in tree tops, 30 - 40 ft above ground, about 20 ft from both the wrens and the WM. Then I see a Green [[1 green 1 blue checkmark]] [[circled]] 6 [[/circled]] Toucanet in tree-top note far from WM's. Then [[1 green 1 blue 1 pencil checkmark]] [[circled]] 7 [[/circled]] Cy j [[right arrow]] . There also are some [[2 blue 1 green 1 pencil checkmarks]] [[circled]] 8 [[/circled]] miscellaneous flycatchers around. This seems to be another [[underlined]] real by very different mixed flock [[/underlined]]. All birds disappear more or less same time, except for the [[2 red 1 blue checkmarks]] [[parentheses in blue]] 110 [[/parentheses]] [[underlined]] nigrocristatus [[/underlined]] which remain behind.

It certainly would appear that [[underlined]] nigrocristatus [[/underlined]] does not [[underlined]] like [[/underlined]] mixed flocks, even though it occasionally appears in them.

ADDITION: A single [[circled]] 9 [[/circled]] [[1 blue 1 green checkmark]] thrush was associated, briefly, with the BCBT - woodpecker - tree creeper flock seen earlier. Not the usual sooty species around here. Glossy black, yellow bill, legs, and eye-ring. [[underlined]] Probably the species seen in mixed flocks in Colombia [[/underlined]].

About 5 mins later come across what is probably part of the WM-toucanet-wren flock. Two [[1 pecnil 1 blue 1 green checkmark]] [[underlined]] cyanocephalas [[/underlined]] and one Cy. I [[underlined]] know [[/underlined]] it is the same Cy seen earlier (has light spot on lower mandible). These birds disappear rapidly. About 2 minutes later, a single Green toucanet pass by. [[underlined]] Low [[/underlined]] in scrub, 7 ft above ground. Going in same direction as Cy and [[underlined]] cyanocephala [[/underlined]] !

If Green Toucanets are really members of mixed flocks here, they may be quite different from the Chiriqui birds.

At the same time the toucanet passed, there were lots of loud "Tuck" Notes in nearby scrub. like nothing else I have heard this year. could they ahve been uttered by the gray-headed [[underlined]] Basileuterus [[/underlined]] seen in 1962 ??????
