whole was quite diffuse - [[underlined]] in much the same way as some of flocks seen near the Teleferico #1 Station a couple of months ago. [[/underlined]]

Everything quiet now 9:50 am.

10:00 am. A few yards downhill. Come across [[underlined]] some [[/underlined]] of the same birds.

[] Coer []

2 White-spectacled, 1 adult [[underlined]] and [[/underlined]] 1 juv. Coer (!!!), 1 Whitebeard. All quite close together. 10 - 20 ft up in trees. Quiet.

[] Coer []

The 2 Coers are feeding on fruit. Also picking insects off leaves. White-spectacled and Whitebeard flycatching.

[] Coer []

The 2 Coers undoubtedly are the adult & juv. seen together early this morning. Also undoubtedly the two birds seen separately with different "clusters" only a few minutes ago. I.E. [[underlined]] probably all the birds seen at various times in this particular site should be considered permanent or temporary numbers of the same diffuse flock (of fluctuating composition.) [[/underlined]]

NOTE: The White-spectacled Whitestarts here have narrow spectacles and rufous crowns.

NOTE: The altitude of the road here according to my altimeter now is 8550 ft.

[] Glor []

10:15 am. Glors still Singing down by road. NODWA.

Leaving 10:20 am.

COMMENT: In general, my observations of today and yesterday would seem to confirm my earlier impressions of the behavior of the birds of this region. They certainly are Allogregarious to some extent; but apparently much less so than the birds of the Western and Central Cordilleras of Colombia.

If the birds here should turn out to be significantly more Allogregarious than those of the Eastern Cordillera Colombia, this would indicate that the "frontier effect" is more important than "accessibility to island
