But then the Yellowbelly flies up hill into VSF. And I hear other bird noises in that direction.

8:29. A little further up hill. See pair [[circled in blue]] 18 [[/circled]] [[two pencil, two red, two blue checkmarks]] [[underlined]] cyanocephala [[/underlined]] 40 ft up in tall VSF. Definitely alone.

8:35am. 8025 ft. Region of very mixed second growth adjacent

to large patch bamboo scrub. See another mixed flock. [[circled in blue]] 1 [[/circled]] Includes [[two green, 2 blue checkmarks]] [[circled in pencil]] 1 [[/circled]] 2 Plush-capped Finches

[[left margin in green]] 34 [[/left margin]]

and [[1 blue, 1 pencil checkmark]] [[circeld in pencil]] 2 [[/circled]] [[circled in blue]] 2 [[/circled]] 1 other bird (unidentified, but generally yellow olive).

[[left margin in green]] 35 [[/left margin]] [[left margin in red]] Albi [[/left margin]]

3 ft up. Silent. All birds close together. [[male symbol]] [[1 green, 1 pencil, 1 blue checkmark]] [[circled in pencil]] 3 [[/circled]] [[circled in blue]] 3 [[/circled]] Albi "escorts" this group briefly, but then disappears. Group going down hill slowly.

Then I hear Atlapetes "Greetings" in scrub 15 ft up hill. [[circled in blue]] 4 [[/circled]] [[circled in pencil]] 4 [[/circled]] [[2 green, 2 pencil, 2 blue checkmarks]] Then 2 WM's appear. WM's f [[right arrow]] Plush-capped group. Then 2 [[two green, 2 blue, 2 pencil checkmarks]] [[circled in blue]] 5 [[/circled]] [[circled in pencil]] 5 [[/circled]] [[underlined]] B. nigrocristatus [[/underlined]] appear, about 10 ft behind WM's. [[underlined]] B. nigrocristatus [[/underlined]] f [[right arrow]] group. Then turn "sideways" and go thru bamboo scrub, 1 - 3 ft up. [[underlined]] They apparently have abandoned group. [[/underlined]]

[[left margin in green]] 42 [[/left margin]]

Then 3 [[three pencil, three green, three blue checkmarks]] [[circled in blue]] 6 [[/circled]] [[underlined]] cyanocephalas [[/underlined]] appear from downhill. [[underlined]] cyanocephalas [[/underlined]]
j [[right arrow]] [[underlined]] B. nigrocristatus [[/underlined]]. Land in trees 10 - 15 ft up, right above the warblers.

But then the warblers move. And [[underlined]] cyanocephalas [[/underlined]] do [[underlined]] not [[/underlined]] follow.

I think that these birds must be considered to form (or have formed) two different flocks. [[underlined]] Both diffuse, [[/underlined]] on the whole.

[[underlined]] cyanocephalas [[/underlined]] noisy throughout. Lots of Twitters WM's and [[underlined]] B. nigrocristatus [[/underlined]] with a variety of sounds, but are quiet most of the time.

8:50. Same area. Single Yellow belly [1 pencil, 1 green, 1 blue checkmark]] [[circled in blue]] 7 [[/circled]] j [[right arrow]] [[underlined]] cyanocephalas [[/underlined]] [[three pencil checkmarks]]. A third "flock" here! Lands in tree 15 ft up, about 15 ft from the nearest [[underlined]] cyanocephala [[/underlined]] individual. Silent.

Then all birds disappear from view. I [[underlined]] think [[/underlined]] the [[underlined] cyanocephalas [[/underlined]] & Yellowbelly went in the same general direction as the [[underlined]] B. nigrocristatus [[/underlined]] earlier.

Sometimes hard to distinguish blue and green.
