[[underlined]] nigrocristatus [[/underlined]] silent and alone
6 " up in similar environment.

Starting back toward Station 11:45 am.

11:55 am. Back where presumed White spectacled Songs heard at 11:20.

[[left margin in red]] Laf? [[/left margin]]

Bird(s) still singing. Still NODWA. (I would not be prepared to guarantee that these are not Lafs! If they are Lafs, it is interesting to "find" them in an environment which is "typical" of Albi - or the region on the east of Purace where Albi & Laf overlap.)

[[left margin in red]] Albi 23 [[/left margin]]

12:08 pm. 8280 ft. Catch glimpse [[1 red, 1 pencil, 1 blue checkmark]] [[circled in blue]] 21 [[/circled]] Albi (can't tell if [[male symbol]] or [[female symbol]]) in patch bamboo scrub in VSF Utters R's. NODWA

Then, 50 yds away, get [[underlined]] very poor [[/underlined]] glimpses quite a large mixed flock.

This is near where very large mixed flock seen earlier this morning. Probably largely same group. Probably at least 20 inds in group now. Mostly high, 30 - 40ft up in tree-tops. Group certainly includes [[2 green checkmarks]] 2 [[underlined]] large [[/underlined]] rufous wood creepers which it did [[underlined]] not [[/underlined]] include earlier.

Can [[underlined]] hear [[/underlined]] White-spectacled with group 12:21.

And now I see that there also are birds in bamboo scrub below tall trees. But remaining very well hidden!

Now I see that tree-top group also includes small [[green checkmark]] woodcreeper seen with group earlier [[18 green checkmarks]]

Then I flush [[1 pencil, 1 red, 1 blue checkmark]] single [[circled in blue]] 22 [[/circled]] [[underlined]] B. nigrogristatus [[/underlined]] from bamboo scrub near flock. I don't think that this bird really is with group.

Flock as a whole still very coherent. And almost as noisy as before.

12:29. A little further along, 2 [[underlined]] B. nigrocristatus [[/underlined]] j [[right arrow]] group. Low in mixed scrub.

I am going on down hill because this group is in such a position now that it is impossible to study.

12:38 pm. Approximately same altitude. Fog is beginning to reach this area. Everything very quiet
