I [[underlined]] think [[/underlined]] that this is supposed to be the dry season here now. But it certainly has been wet (in the afternoons) in actual fact.

Paramo La Negra

Going to work in usual area here this morning. Arrive 5:55a.m. Still quite dark. Sky largely cloudy. Looks like rain may be coming (there may be a very fine drizzle already.)

6:38. Going uphill along side path. See group 4 [[four pencil, four blue checkmarks]] PL's moving on

ground, and up to 3 ft up, edge of path. Uttering lots of "PN"s. Can also hear [[2 pencil, 2 blue checkmarks]] [[underlined]] luteoviridis [[/underlined]] - types in scrub 10 - 15 ft away. But the association between the 2 species appears to be "coincidental".

6:52. Further uphill. See single [[underlined]] luteoviridis [[/underlined]] - type [[1 blue, 1 pencil checkmark]] [[circled,in blue]] 61 [[/circled]]. 3 - 6 ft up in scrub. Very noisy. But definitely alone.

7:06. See 2 [[underlined]] B. nigrocristatus [[/underlined]] [[two pencil, two blue check marks]] [[circled in blue]] 63 [[/circled]] alone in second growth trees. 6 - 15 ft up. One adult, one juv. Juv. Begs repeatedly (with [[underlined]] silent [[/underlined]] wing-Q). Adult feeds juv. repeatedly

8:45. Area where I have been watching Diglossas and hummingbirds. See group 3 [[three pencil, three blue checkmarks]] [[underlined]] luteoviridis [[/underlined]] -types. Presumably individuals seen around here before. Very noisy as usual. 15 ft up in second growth trees.

I can also hear [[1 pencil, 1 blue checkmark]] White-spectacled Song in neighborhood. And 15 ft "behind" the [[underlined]] luteoviridis [[/underlined]] -types is a single moderately [[1 blue, 1 pencil checkmark]] small woodcreeper. Also 15 ft up in second growth trees. Silent. [[underlined]] This is exactly same species seen with luteoviridis-types on Pico Espejo! [[/underlined]]

[[underlined]] Obviously, CII has a special inter specific preference for luteo [[/underlined]]
