[[right pointing arrow]] [[underlined]] nigrocristatus [[/underlined]] - Atlapetes group. Then Sitti disappears. White-beard suddenly start up hill, at 30[[degree symbol]] to its previous course. Then I see that 1 [[underlined]] Pseudospingus [[/underlined]] [[check mark]] [[blue check mark]] [[insert, circled]] 7 [[/insert]] f [[right pointing arrow]] White-beard. [[underlined]] Pseudospingus [[/underlined]] also qiet. (I [[underlined]] think [[/underlined]] that the White-beard and [[underlined]] Pseudospingus [[/underlined]] probably were going away from the rest of the birds when they went up hill.)

At least twice, during this period, a single Firebelly flies over group - [[underlined]] without [[/underlined]] showing any tendency to join.

Everything quiet 4:25 pm. Then I go a little further down path
[[margin, in red]] Sitti [[/margin]]
come across part of same group. [[underlined]] PL [[/underlined]] [[check mark]] [[blue check mark]] [[insert, circled]] 4 [[/insert]] Also [[underlined]] 2 [[/underlined]] [[blue check mark]] [[check mark]] Sittis. Both quiet. 4 - 6 ft up in scrub. PL f [[right pointing arrow]] Sittis. Sitti f [[right ponting arrow]] PL. Then [[insert, circled]] 5 [[/insert]] [[underlined]] 2 PR's [[/underlined]] [[two check marks]] [[two blue check marks]]

appear. Apparently following [[right pointing arrow]] PL-Sitti group. All birds quiet at first. Then PR's start to "mob" me. Lots of "SHN"s. PR's ranging 2 - 4 ft up. Then [[underlined]] B. nigrocristatus [[/underlined]] shows up. Apparently f [[right pointing arrow]] group. Silent. 3 ft up. Then 2 [[two check marks]] [[two blue check marks]] [[insert, circled]] 6 [[/insert]] Firebellies j [[right pointing arrow]] group. 5 - 8 ft up in trees. Also quiet. Then PR's stop mobbing. Group as a whole moves on. PR's and Firebellies bringing up the rear.

This group really was very coherent! But [[underlined]] much [[/underlined]] quieter (aside from the "mobbing" than most groups in the Central and Western Cordilleras.

It is beginning to look as if mixed flocks [[underlined]] are more common in this region now than they were in Aprl. [[/underlined]] Is relatively great seasonal variation in freuqncy of flock formation particularly characteristic of regions in which flock development is "moderate" (rather than "extreme"?).

Slight sprinkle rain 4:45 pm.

This flock does not seem to be making very rapid progress. I can still hear Atlapetes "Seeeet" Notes not very far away. 4:51 pm. Pair of Firebellies shows up (again). 4:53. I can't tell if
